From that night on, Alex made sure to keep a safe copy of his software key, and he never forgot the favor Mike had done for him. And as for Mike, he had earned himself a permanent spot as Alex's go-to guy for all things DJ-related.
"Is that...?" Alex started to ask, his eyes widening with excitement.
Panic began to set in as he searched every nook and cranny of his cluttered DJ booth. His mind was racing with worst-case scenarios: having to use a competitor's software, dealing with a disappointed crowd, and potentially losing his reputation as a skilled DJ.
